These rights are recognized and protected by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the most universal document in history, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948.
As an organization dedicated to implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the regional, national and international levels, we believe that human rights are the foundation of dignity, freedom, justice and peace for all. Our work consists of promoting knowledge and protection of human rights by and for all humanity, through monitoring, investigation, analysis, denunciation, pressure, education and cooperation.
The rights of children ensure their well-being, protection and integral development, as established by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. At IHRCG, we work to ensure that all children enjoy their rights to education, health and safety, protecting them from exploitation and abuse.
Women's rights are fundamental to gender equality and empowerment. At the IHRCG, we fight discrimination and gender-based violence, promoting equal opportunities and protecting the rights of women around the world, so that they can participate fully in society.
Refugees are people fleeing conflict or persecution. The IHRCG works to ensure that your rights, including asylum and protection from refoulement, are respected. We defend the dignity and support of refugees, promoting fair asylum policies and combating discrimination.
